December 2023 Update:
Food Service - Breaking News - Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are going to be closing the kitchen with immediate effect so there will be no food service available from the 1st of December 23. We'll be sure to provide an update when the situation changes so please keep an eye on this space.
Winter Opening - Please note that we have reverted to winter opening hours so on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays we will open from 6pm and not 4pm. All other opening hours remain the same.
Sky Sports - All your favourite teams on our huge HD screens and as well as the football, we can now offer the full range of Sky and BT Sports as well as the remainder of the F1 season.
Worthies Craft and Makers Market
After the success of our last event on the 19th November, we're thrilled to announce another Christmas Craft Fair on the 16th December. This is yet another great opportunity to come along and support local crafters and makers and we look forward to seeing you there.
Please note that we are gratefully accepting donations for the raffle and tombola so if you have anything you'd like to donate it will help add to the excitement of the occasion.
The fair will be open from 11am until 3pm and will include loads of local craft stalls, children's games, face painting, a large Christmas raffle, tombola, guess the number of sweets in the jar, lots of fun for all and... live music provided by Chris from the band Runaway Train!
As well as all this we have free parking, tea/coffee, breakfast comestibles and a full bar which will be open from 12 noon.

The WSSC 200 Draw - Now rebranded to the new "200 Draw", tickets are on sale and are
available behind the bar. Tickets are £1 each with the next draw taking place on the Friday after the magic number of 200 entries have been sold.
50% of the pot (£100) will be awarded as first prize with two further prizes of £50 and £30. 10% of takings contribute to the Clubs projects fund.

Bingo - Our next session will be held on Sunday the 17th of December, this will be our much anticipated Christmas Bingo session. The first (and next) Bingo date for your 2024 diary will be Sunday the 7th of January.
On the day, sales open at 6:30pm with eyes down at 7:30pm. (Please bear with us if things need to change at short notice)
Pass the word around and we look forward to seeing you there. Just in case you were unaware, you must be a fully paid up member to participate in some of the games.
Opening Hours - as many of you will know, we're still applying winter opening hours which are as follows:
Mon – 6pm to 10 pm
Tue – 6pm to 10 pm
Wed – 12 Noon to 11pm
Thu – 6pm to 10 pm
Fri – 12 Noon to 10 pm
Sat – 12 Noon to 11pm
Sun – 12 Noon to 6pm - Subject to custom
Membership Applications - Membership renewals commenced on the 1st of October concluded on the 31st October 23.
Applications for annual membership for the 2024/25 year will remain at £20 for those aged 18 to 59 years and £10 for those aged 60+.
Please be aware that if you are not a member and you visit the Club, you will have to pay a non-member surcharge for drinks and food.
Meetings and Functions - We are still in a position where we can take bookings for meetings and functions. If you would like to talk to us about bookings and prices, please contact our Club Bar Manager Claire on 01962 880457.
Introduction to the WSSC from the Club President:
The Worthies Sports and Social Club is a friendly Members Club serving the Worthies in Winchester (Kings Worthy, Headbourne Worthy, Martyr Worthy and Abbots Worthy) and surrounding villages. Our premises offer a welcoming and comfortable environment for social activities. We have regular Saturday night entertainment making the Club a great meeting place for those who enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
A well stocked bar with competitively priced drinks is available. The Club may also be able to help you with that special function by providing a venue and buffet facilities. We are open to enquiries and will be happy to give you a quote for the service you, or your organisation, may require.
